The Air Jordan XII “Flu Game” was given the name after Michael Jordan fought off an illness and struggles in the first half to score 38 points and lead the Bulls to a hard-fought Game 5 victory in Utah, but Jordan didn’t technically have the flu – instead it was food poisoning that crippled the star. While we last saw the pair in 2009 in a nubuck homage instead of the original all leather 1997 release, the actual game-worn pair will make its way to auction. One of the Jazz ball boys found luck was on his side as Jordan gave him the pair and then autographed the Air Jordan 12s then the kid immediately locked them away. 16 years later the historic shoes are being sold off in an auction that is set to end on December 11th and it will be fun to see how much this particular pair will match up against some of the priciest MJ memorabilia of all time. Continue reading to see some images of the shoe and stay tuned for how much this Air Jordan XII pair auctions off for.
