Dealing with an athlete of MJ’s stature (rather, is there any athlete of his stature?) you come across a lot of oddities in the realm of popular culture, so thinking of Michael Jordan and cartoons, images of Space Jam and Warner Brother’s the Looney Tunes immediately come to mind. Today’s vintage gear is a rare piece displaying another 90s cartoon series – Garfield. While this is the first time ever seeing a connection between Jumpman and the comic strip – and probably the most active Garfield has ever been depicted by trying to dunk a basketball – the print is rare because it was hand painted and signed by series creator Jim Davis and Michael Jordan. Apparently even fictitious animated creatures couldn’t help but want to be like Mike. Head to the gallery for a look at this weird find, and if you’re a fan of both pick up the print today from russcel on eBay.
