Based on the classic status of the Air Jordan 1, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the silhouette has been reworked countless times over its 28 year lifespan. During the resurgence of Nike’s Foamposite, the Air Jordan was released in a foam-armored look, with the numerous panels of Jordan’s first sneaker being replaced by one metallic iridescent-like upper in one of the weirdest retoolings of the classic sneaker. While the shoe didn’t necessarily fly off of shelves, it definitely serves as a reminder that Jordan Brand is never afraid to take risks, and today we get a look at the shoe in a colorway somewhere in between MJ’s Carolina blue and the classic Royal of the original Nike Foamposite One. With a black midsole and icy sole, the shoe will definitely turn heads and you can pick them up well below its original retail price from kixxcityusa on eBay.
