Many remember Michael Jordan’s career by the polarizing single moments that were littered throughout: the game-winning jumper over Bryon Russell to seal his sixth championship, the reverse layup over the entire Lakers in ’91, his shoulder shrug against the Blazers after his sixth three pointer. But before he could become a legend he was just sophomore Mike Jordan of the UNC Tarheels, that is until he hit the game winning shot in the National Championship that year. It was that shot that Jordan refers to as the moment he became Michael. Today’s vintage find is a commemorative poster from the Tarheel team that won it all, featuring yearbook like photos of the roster – note the name as ‘Mike Jordan’.
