In the 2000 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Clippers drafted Darius Miles with the overall third pick. Miles’ potential was especially high considering that he made the NBA All-Rookie team in 2001, but for the Clippers it would turn out to be another draft blunder. He was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2001-02 season where he spent three and a half seasons before being shipped to the Portland Trail Blazers. It finally looked as if his career was beginning to come together until he suffered a debilitating knee injury that forced him to get microfracture surgery. His career never recovered from that and the injury was bad enough that it ended his career. While in Cleveland, the Jordan Brand athlete was given a special pair of Air Jordan IXs that featured a white upper with orange patent letaher as well as a translucent outsole.
