Earlier this week, some of the most influential bloggers were invited to the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon for the Jordan Brand Flight Forum; an official unveiling of the brand’s Holiday 2011 collection. The event focused on the brand’s marquee athletes, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul. Jordan Brand launched Fly Over, Fly Through and Fly Around, a new campaign that spins off of the idea of Flight. The moment that everyone was waiting for had finally arrived, the official unveiling of the Jordan Fly Wade 2, Jordan Melo M8 and Jordan CP3.V which fit into the respective “Fly” categories. Other basketball releases such as the Jordan Big Ups and Air Jordan 2011 A-Flight were included in the presentation.
After the presentation, members of the press were taken to the Bo Jackson Gymnasium where they were put through a rigorous wear-test session. The Melo M8 was used in warm up drills and Sparq Training tests, followed by the Jordan CP3 2’Quickwhich was used for speed drills and the Jordan Fly 23 was used for one on one drills with attendees. To conclude the session, the attendants picked what shoe felt best to them during full court scrimmages to emphasize the fit and feel for any body type regardless of playing style.
