Back in September 2005, the Air Jordan X Retro ‘Varsity Red’ dropped and were an instant hit much like the ‘Ice Blue’ Xs before it. A sample of this colorway recently came to light and gave us a look into what could have possibly hit retail. Upon first observation, it isn’t that much different than what released with the exception of the inner lining. The checkerboard pattern resembles that of the ‘Steel Grey’ colorway instead of the Varsity Red/Steel Grey combination seen in the final version. Samples in themselves are rarities in the sneaker world and rapper/sneakerhead Fabolous claims ownership to one of them and debuted it at his Bottles & Js BBQ.Take another look at this Air Jordan X sample and let us know if you would have preferred this version to drop. via Stickie213.
