Michael Jordan is widely regarded to be the greatest basketball player who ever played game. Some would rank Bill Russell ahead of him but again, it depends on who you ask. Fran Blinebury of NBA.com takes a look at how Michael not only dominated the competition on the court but his excellence off the court made him into a pop culture icon. One of his greatest rivals, Magic Johnson, was quoted as saying in regards to a USA Today poll that: “Michael has done things in sports that — forget basketball, sports in general — no other man has done. He is always going to be bigger than the game, bigger than sports. He’s a worldwide hero. There will never be another Bill Russell and there will never be another Jordan.” Check out the full feature by Fran Blinebury over at NBA and let us know what you think.
