Though Air Jordan 17 was cleanly done, the Air Jordan 6/17 “Countdown Pack” drew attention primarily for the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine.” The pack’s release on May 24, 2008 marked the first time since 1991 that the “Carmine” 6 had been made available at retail. The Air Jordan 17 in the pack introduced a fresh nubuck-based colorway, with a near monochrome black treatment with hits of metallic silver. This pack remains one of the most highly sought in the series.
