There have been good first pitches and not so good first pitches. Michael Jordan’s heave on September 28, 1998 was definitely somewhere on the low end of that spectrum. Just a few months removed from his historic “Last Shot” to clinch his sixth NBA title, MJ geared up in Chicago Cubs apparel to deliver the opener before the Cubs and San Francisco Giants took to the field. The results were, well, results. Cubs won, 5-3, though. Watch MJ throw the baseball towards home plate below, and keep in mind he played Double-A ball for the Chicago White Sox.
