Michael Jordan only had one NBA season under his belt in 1985, but he was already a bonafide star. His accolades were stacking up – Rookie of the Year, league leader in total points scored, and an 11-win improvement over the Chicago Bulls’ previous season. Fans around the world were starting to tune in to the 22-year-old’s on-court heroics, highlighted by his “banned” Air Jordan 1s. That stardom also meant Nike promotional tours. These casual appearances gradually phased out of Jordan’s schedule as his career and celebrity continued to rise.
