Jordan Brand honors the 19th anniversary of Michael Jordan’s “flu game” with a retrospective campaign dubbed #GreatnessOvercomes. This look back features a series of video clips starring comedian J.B. Smoove, with a cameo from Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen. The brand also opened a one-day pop-up shop Saturday in Salt Lake City, the site of famous game in which MJ overcame his sickness to conquer the Utah Jazz. Fans in attendance received access to related product and exclusive storytelling installments.

On June 11, 1997, the Bulls needed every bit of Michael Jordan’s brilliance to overcome a fired-up Utah Jazz squad and their ear-splittingly loud fans. It was a tough task made far tougher with Jordan ailing from flu-like symptoms. He responded with 38 points in the Air Jordan 12 Black/Varsity Red, and the Bulls took games 5 and 6 for their fifth NBA championship.

Watch Jordan Brand’s full video series below, and share your stories of personal triumph with the Twitter hashtag #GreatnessOvercomes.
