After 17 years, the original Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red” colorway finally appeared in 2006 in retro form. Air Jordan fans rejoiced – after some requisite grumbling about the shoe’s leather quality, mesh direction, and lasered Mars Blackmon on each heel. But Jordan Brand wanted to honor Spike Lee’s iconic character and the big role he played in helping promote Air Jordan 4 back in 1989. You can still find new pairs of this release at select retailers like Stadium Goods.
