If you’ve wanted a closer look at the upcoming Jordan Westbrook 0, this photo set is for you. The red-based version is the subject, detailing an unmistakable influence of the most famous and critically-acclaimed Air Jordan sneaker of all-time – Air Jordan XI. Smooth red leather embossed with XI’s radius lines gives way to more red leather in the form of a reptile skin printed rand. Everything’s finished with a white vulcanized crepe sole, the classic casual sneaker foundation.

Months back when word was swirling that a Russell Westbrook signature shoe was in the offing, first thoughts were of a hardcore on-court performer with some cutting edge tech. Then the first images of the shoe trickled out, including angles of Russell wearing them, clearly revealing that the closest this signature piece would get to on-court action is behind the sidelines looking good for sneaker spotters. Why no signature game shoe? Chris Paul has one, Melo has one, Blake sort of has one in the Super.Fly series.

Jordan Brand is going after the casual lifestyle shoe segment – formerly owned and operated by the Nike Roshe Run – with shoes like the Future and Eclipse. A signature lifestyle shoe with the relatable Westbrook as face is the shrewd move, filling a gap that didn’t really occur to anyone until now. Besides, Westbrook is already the primary vehicle for the flagship Air Jordan line, most recently demonstrated by his many Air Jordan XX8 and XX9 player exclusives. He doesn’t need his own signature game shoe.

Release info for the Westbrook 0 has been kept quiet thus far but we’ll bring you that as soon as possible. Let us know if you’re willing to give the Westbrook 0 a try when it drops.
