Tinker Hatfield has a “My First Pair” story like everyone else. The longtime design legend was with Nike before a certain lanky guard from North Carolina came around, and he enjoyed a front row seat to the start and early years of the Air Jordan line. Then, in 1987, he took it over and the rest is history in every facet of the word.
