The Daily Jordan: Air Jordan 10 “Ice Blue” – 2005

One of the most well-received non-original colorways of the last decade, Air Jordan 10 in White/Obsidian-Ice-Blue-Varsity Red released to solid demand when they hit shelves on June 11, 2005 at $125.

Though Jordan Brand has never really marketed retros in the traditional sense, the Ice Blues received a nice advertising plug when some of the 2005 North Carolina Tar Heels – notably Raymond Felton, Jawad Williams, and Jackie Manuel – won the NCAA mens championship that April wearing them, putting the sneakers on a national stage a good two months ahead of the release date. The exposure also didn’t hurt the hype build for the Air Jordan 10 “Steel” original colorway that hit shelves a bit earlier on May 7, 2005.

These days the Ice Blues can be found in deadstock condition with a bit of patient searching. This particular pair is available through eBay seller christoten but more sizes can be found here.
