Air Jordan 1 in red, white and black is the quintessential Jordan sneaker. The shoe that helped a young Michael Jordan become NBA Rookie of the Year, that kickstarted the Air Jordan sneaker line that has become a cultural touchstone throughout its 30 year existence. Air Jordan 1’s 1985 genesis set the history into motion and remained simply an honorable entry in the signature line until 1994, when Nike decided to release a retro edition as a sort of 10th anniversary of Michael Jordan’s career. Fans didn’t see the red, white and black again until 2013, with a slightly modified shape and rebranding configuration.

And now the Air Jordan 1 “Bulls” is back, released today to instant sellouts, with another round expected when Nike.com makes its stock available soon. Through a fortunate preservation of history we’re able to examine, compare, and contrast each of these four “Bulls” iterations, including each shoe’s box. See how all of these shoes stack up against each other and let us know how you’d rank them greatest to least.
