Always fun to talk about prospective Air Jordan retro drops and some of the latest whispers have the Air Jordan 12 slated to return in 2016 with two colorway favorites – White/French Blue-Metallic Silver-Varsity Red and White/Black-Varsity Red. While the exact colorway configuration is still TBA along with everything else, we know that the French Blue first released on January 10, 2004 as a “Retro+” colorway, and the Varsity Red – an original colorway from 1997 – made its first retro retail appearance on December 19, 2009. So it’s definitely been awhile for both of these; especially the French Blues, which would continue Jordan Brand’s trend of calling early ’00 era retros back into service. Should these two indeed stay written in ink on the ’16 schedule you can bet they’ll hew closer to the $190 mark than the $135 price range of these older 12s. Stay tuned.
