Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” is coming back to us as a summer release but its roots are in the wintertime. Michael Jordan debuted AJ7 in the Bordeaux colorway on Sunday, February 9, 1992 in the NBA All-Star Game. Jordan scored 18 points in 31 minutes but the West easily prevailed over the East, 153-113, behind Magic Johnson’s MVP performance of 25 points, five rebounds, and nine assists.
After its original run in ’92, the Bordeaux stayed in the vault and began topping many sneakerheads’ retro wish lists. Jordan Brand finally relented, bringing it back in retro form for the first time on April 16th, 2011 for the now-low price of $150. And now it’s due up on July 18th for $190, with the black, grey and burgundy look that made it sneaker icon. Check some new photos here and let us know if this is a must-have.
