Pizza doesn’t have to look pretty, it just has to rock your taste buds.
But Carlo Lujan takes pizza-making beyond the bounds of pleasing sustenance with toppings shaped into picturesque portraits, themes, and logos like this Air Jordan Jumpman made of tomatoey red gold.
Lujan, who spins ‘zza for Big Lou’s Pizza in San Antonio, can also fashion sauce into a bust of Biggie Smalls, arrange piles of green peppers and olives for Autism Awareness, and shout out his hometown Spurs with a near copy of the team’s logo outlined in cheese.
The only way to sweeten this Jumpman pie is to offer it with a guarantee it’ll be ready in less than 23 minutes or you get it for free. Ha. Maybe he can branch into Air Jordans next?
You can check out more of Lujan’s work on his Instagram lujanc09.
