Despite talk of a July 25th drop date, firm release details for Air Jordan 1.5 remain on the elusive side. So we’ll continue to examine this throwback of the alternate Air Jordan 1 that Michael Jordan wore sparingly during the 1984-85 season. It counts all of the classic AJ1 design cues except for slightly tweaked logos and the hybrid AJ1-AJ2 sole unit.

One new development is sneaker forum chatter about the 1.5’s toe box shape. The words “clown shoes” have been thrown around in reference but that could be written off as a by-product of samples or different sizes circulating in this early stage. We’ll update on any news for this rarity out of the retro vault as it happens.
