Sneaker artist Mache checked back in on Instagram today to share how he thinks many sneakerheads might’ve preferred the Air Jordan 2 “Infrared” to look.
Where Jordan Brand made copious use of grey paint splatter on key trim pieces, Mache went for a black monochrome accented with textured leathers, repositioned splatter on the midsole, and a sub-in of black on the piping and outsole where Infrared used to be.
Did Jordan Brand get it right? Did Mache fix what was broken? Compare the two below and sound off.
