LaMarcus Aldridge scored 26 points to go with 14 rebounds in a significant victory for his Portland Trail Blazers in Rip City on Wednesday night.
The Blazers’ 105-100 decision over the visiting Houston Rockets proved to be key game for both teams. For Portland, the win secured a 2-1 season series edge and tiebreaker favor over the Rockets. For Houston, the loss means a lower seeding should the two teams finish with the same record, an obvious disadvantage in the brutally competitive Western Conference as seedings continue to shuffle over the final weeks of the regular season.
True to recent trends among Jordan Brand’s NBA athletes and unofficial reps alike, Aldridge wore the Jordan Super.Fly 3, dressed in a Blazers styled white and red color combination. Aldridge has donned a balanced mix of Jordan sneakers since jumping from Nike Basketball to Jordan Brand last during Fall 2014, selecting from retro styles like the Air Jordan XI and XIII as well as modern looks like the Super.Fly series.
