Jordan Brand Celebrates MJ’s First Ring with the Air Jordan 6 “Champagne and Cigars”

Michael Jordan finally got over the hurdle that was the Bad Boy era Detroit Pistons in 1991 and cruised past Magic Johnson and his Los Angeles Lakers squad to grab his much-deserved and anticipated first championship ring. Before he hugged the Larry O’Brien Trophy though, the criticism aimed at Mike was much like that towards LeBron James today. The rest was history though, as MJ went on to win 5 more. With the 23rd anniversary of the Air Jordan 6 this year, Jordan Brand decided to celebrate Jordan’s first title with the Air Jordan 6 “Champagne Bottle” and Air Jordan 6 “Championship Cigar”. The two pairs couldn’t be more contrasting either, as the champagne bottle referencing pair dons a shiny green upper and translucent tongue to mimik the bottle popping festivities.
