Tomorrow at 11 AM, Jordan Brand will open the doors of their first ever stand alone retail store in a collaboration with FootAction on 225 W 34th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. If that location sounds familiar, you might notice that Madison Square Garden is right across the street. Last month news surfaced that the store would be opening (the plywood casing mimicking a sneaker box printed with cement elephant detailing only hinted at the future). Saturday morning, Jordan Brand will have a special ribbon-cutting at 10 A.M with Jumpman VIPs Larry Miller (the Jordan Brand president) and Jake Jacobs (FootAction CEO) while several surprise guests will be on hand. The store will house exclusive releases of both apparel and footwear, and SneakerNews recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Keith Crawford, designer of the locale, to talk Jordan Brand and the inspiration behind the New York City flagship. Be sure to head over to SneakerNews for the full article, and let us know if you plan on attending the opening tomorrow morning.
