The Air Jordan IX isn’t received well amongst collectors due to the fact Michael Jordan never wore them when he played basketball and did so while playing baseball. The cleat that Michael Jordan wore while playing for the Birmingham Barons, the Chicago White Sox minor league affiliate, during his first retirement from the NBA recently popped up on eBay.. The Air Jordan IX cleat is in the teams colors of black and white and features a rubber cleat instead of the traditional metal spikes. Included with the cleat is a certificate of authenticity from Upper Deck to give the buyer an added sense of security in the ever growing counterfeit memorabilia market.
