Sports and the entertainment world have become somewhat synonymous, from NBA players wanting to be rappers and vice versa, stars sitting courtside at games and friendships turning into business deals (look no further than Jay-Z ditching his share in the Brooklyn Nets to manage Kevin Durant off the court). ESPN is definitely somewhat to blame for this recent phenomena thanks to a 24 hour news cycle that links the two professions. Jordan Athlete Chris Paul recently covered the magazine as part of their annual Music Issue and it’s fitting that the Los Angeles Clippers guard would be alongside Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar. He even got outfitted in a casual ensamble capped by the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” pair while Kendrick ditched his Cortez connection for a pair of Tims. While the issue hasn’t hit shelves just yet, stay tuned for more info and the countdown until Chris Paul returns from injury is only a few weeks away.
