The Jordan Melo M10 “Black History Month” will arrive at retailers come Saturday, February 1st, 2014. While we’ve been treated to two new colorways of the Jordan Melo M10 in the form of that “Dark Powder Blue” and the special edition “Christmas” version that started things off for the silhouette, Jordan’s annual tribute to Black History Month comes in the form of this premium looking silhouette equipped with a dark grey upper. Accents of purple and gold are prevalent throughout as that metallic cursive Melo heel plate gets a gold treatment while a special pattern can be found on both the inner lining and extended tongue-toebox. One hundred percent of net proceeds (up to $1 million) generated by the 2014 BHM Collection during the month of February will go to the new NIKE Ever Higher Fund, a donor advised fund administered by Charities Aid Foundation of America (CAF America), a national 501(c)3 public charity.
The NIKE Ever Higher Fund will support charitable initiatives that leverage the power of sport to maximize the human potential of underserved youth. The hope is to assist communities with knowledge, resources and tools for the next generation of leaders.
The 2014 BHM Collection will debut with promotional product during pro basketball’s MLK Day games on Jan. 20. The full 2014 BHM Collection will be available worldwide on Nike.com and at select global retail locations beginning Feb. 1.
