Air Jordan merchandise without the signature Jumpman logo? The items are rare, but they do in fact exist. The first sneaker to introduce the now infamous logo to the world was the Air Jordan III, but before Tinker Hatfield took the reigns, it was surprising even when Nike released the Air Jordan II and ditched the Swoosh all together. Today’s vintage gear is a relic from the pre-Jumpman era at Jordan Brand with a jacket straight from those vintage 1980 promo shots featuring MJ in one of his first two sneakers. Noticeably absent is the Jumpman logo, as the stitching instead opts for the classic ‘Wings’ logo on the back of the puffy coat while the front chest sports the ‘Nike Air’ logo in black.
