Air Jordan XV SE: Mike Bibby PE

The Air Jordan XV was the first shoe to release after Michael Jordan retired for the second (and at the time, seemingly final time). The shoe was inspired by NASA’s development of a futuristic fighter jet in the 1950s and luxury shoes from the likes of Prada, with its woven upper and tongue sticking parallel to the ground. Aesthetically many weren’t ready for the look, so when it came time to retro, JB opted to release the shoe with a different tongue in the Air Jordan XV SE back in 2008. In 2008, Mike Bibby broke his successful tenure in Sacramento to head to Atlanta, so it’s a safe bet that this black and red pair of the Air Jordan XV SE was given to number 10 during his Hawks days.
