Spike Lee and Jordan Brand have a storied history by doing what they did best in their respective fields of film and basketball: pushing boundaries and challenging limits, and when they decided to collaborate, it brought sneaker culture into the mainstream. Jordan honored the filmmaker by creating the Jordan Spiz’ike and then the Jordan Son of Mars featuring uppers made from the scraps of the shoes that Spike helped promote. The Jordan Son of Mars Low takes the pieces of its predecessor and simplifies it, using the Air Jordan IV midsole, the Air Jordan III‘s elephant print, Air Jordan V tongue, and a low silhoutte similar to the Air Jordan VI all while dressing it in a fan favorite OG colorway of white and cement. The Jordan Son of Mars ‘White/Cement’ is available at worldwide retailers like Footlocker this Saturday, June 22, but if you can’t wait pick them up early from eBay.
