The news and revelation of an Air Jordan III sample with a nubuck upper sent shock waves throughout the sneaker community as many were stunned that Jordan Brand would retro the AJ III without tumbled leather. This is not the first time that JB has gone the leather to nubuck route as the Air Jordan XII ‘Flu Game’ that released in 2009 had a nubuck upper as well in addition to insignia about Jordan’s accomplishment. Unlike the Air Jordan XII ‘Flu Game’ there aren’t any symbols used on this sample to commemorate any of Jordan’s accomplishments during the 1987-88 season.
