Sure the Air Jordan II had a similar looking black-base release just a couple years ago, but the historical precedent for that pair was set by this black/chrome version from 2004. The colorway arrived to patch up a bit of a gap in the Air Jordan II line, as this sneaker never saw a black based combo in its original run, unlike its countless ‘bred’ brethren.
