We’re using The Daily Jordan series this week to take a look at a specific colorway in the Jordan Brand oeuvre that has popped up again and again since the dawn of the millennium. We’re talking of course about the ‘Cool Grey’ motif, a style that seems to be more prevalent than ever before. Here we’re taking you back to where it all started with a look at the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’, the sneaker that hit way back in March of 2001 to much fanfare, providing a bit of foreshadowing for the subsequent explosion of sneaker culture – it was one of the first sneakers that gained media attention as the release of the Cool Grey XI at NikeTown Chicago was a featured segment on a TLC program. Of course the silhouette came back in 2010 for a second go-round, but we thought it best to take a look at the original that turned people on to this most versatile of colorways over a decade ago. Click through for the photos of the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’ and stay tuned for the rest of ‘Cool Grey’ week here at Jordans Daily. Images via Kixclusive
