Jordan Brand’s mission to Mars will come to fruition this Saturday, as their latest hybrid model is set to make its retail debut. Yesterday we gave you a full breakdown on the background for this sneaker, calling out the various design elements that came together for this mashup model. The ultimate question though is whether or not the Jordan Son of Mars is more than the sum of its parts. The first colorway to test that is the so-called ‘Pop Art’ shown here, which jams some bright colors into the accents that certainly bring to mind the fluorescent hues of that movement. Can the Jordan Son of Mars catch up to the Spiz’ike in terms of hybrid popularity? It certainly has quite a bit of catching up to do, but with all the classics embedded in its DNA it definitely has the potential. Click through to get one last look and get ready to grab the Jordan Son of Mars: Pop Art from local Jordan Brand accounts like West NYC tomorrow, March 3rd or try your luck on eBay where pairs have already popped up.
