When the year ends, the Air Jordan III ‘Black Cement’ will be on many top 10 lists and rightfully so, but let’s not forget about the III that garnered interest from all corners of the sneaker community. The Air Jordan III ‘Oregon Pit Crew’ was commissioned by Nike and Tinker Hatfield to honor the Oregon Ducks’ student section, the Pit Crew. 500 pairs were produced and its circulation began during Oregon’s Matt Knight Madness. More pairs would be raffled off throughout the season to the Duck faithful along with Pit Crew jackets. A lucky University of Oregon student managed to get both the shoes as well as the jacket and did what most college students would do, put them up for sale.
