For seven years, Josh Howard played in Dallas before he was shipped to Washington for Caron Butler, Deshawn Stevenson and Brendan Haywood. Those three players would ultimately become critical pieces on the Mavericks championship team last season. A championship is something that constantly evaded Howard while in Dallas especially during the 2006 NBA Finals in which they would eventually lose to the Miami Heat.
