Last night, Tinker Hatfield took to Obsessive Sneaker Disorder where he gave a live chat on a number of topics. One of those topics was the story of the Air Jordan XI. Years before it was drawn up, Michael suggested to Tinker that they make a patent leather shoe but Tinker needed a performance reason to create such a design. He eventually found that patent leather added performance support while allowing Jordan to add the flair to feet. Jordan predicted that people would wear his newest shoe with suits and tuxedos and low and behold, that’s exactly what happened. Boyz II Men wore the ‘Concord’ XI with their tuxedos at an awards show and after they performed, Tinker’s phone rang. It was Jordan on the other side telling him “I told you so” (not in those exact words). Let us know what you think about Tinker’s story and stick with Jordans Daily for all Jordan related news.
