Game recognizes game. Jordan Brand honors Russell Westbrook’s historic achievement of averaging a triple-double with a commemorative “Big O” commercial and the pending release of the Air Jordan 31 “Why Not?” player exclusive.
The spot features footage of Oscar Robertson mixed with clips from Westbrook’s amazing season. The two are the only players in NBA history to average a triple-double, with Robertson setting the bar in 1961-62.
Air Jordan 31 “Why Not?” takes cues from the Air Jordan 3 “OKC” that Westbrook first wore in an NBA game in 2013. The black upper, grey elephant print, and the Oklahoma City Thunder’s blue and orange are present, with the “Why Not?” phrase repeated on each insole.
Watch the clip and find official photos below. Air Jordan 31 “Why Not?” releases on April 29th for $200 at select Jordan retailers. Jordan Brand has already made available matching apparel at Nike.com.
