Love it or hate it, Air Jordan 15 elicits a strong response.
After Air Jordan 14 marked Michael Jordan’s majestic send-off during the 1998 NBA Finals, AJ15 faced the tough task of carrying Jordan Brand forward with no MJ on the court. The shoe’s polarizing X-15 aircraft inspiration didn’t make the path any easier to navigate. But solid colorways and NBA stars like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller wearing them gave AJ15 a place in the spotlight.
Now Jordan Brand has brought it back for a retro run, first in the most recognizable black/red “OG” look with “Obsidian” following up. Consider the Obsidian 15 an equivalent of the Air Jordan 13 “Flint” or Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” – a shade tailor-made for casual style.
Air Jordan 15 “Obsidian” releases March 4th for $190.
