Michael Jordan’s leaping ability earned him the nickname Air Jordan at the beginning of his career. It was one of his greatest selling points for being a top three NBA draft pick in 1984, an attribute that would bear out countless times over his legendary run with the Chicago Bulls. Not only did he win back-to-back slam dunk titles in 1987 and 1988 with unparalleled grace and style in the air, he also put his dunking ability to use on opponents. Whether a shorter player like Kelly Tripucka, a big forward like Orlando Woolridge, or even a tall oaks like Patrick Ewing or Manute Bol, MJ could soar and slam over virtually anyone.
