Michael Jordan received his Medal of Freedom this evening from President Barack Obama, joining a cast of notables who were granted the nation’s highest civilian award. And the outgoing president made sure to poke a little fun at the Chicago Bulls legend, saying Jordan was more than simply a Crying MJ meme. That he was also “the guy from Space Jam” who overcame every obstacle to define greatness for generations.
