Air Jordan XIX SE: Gary Payton Celtics PE

Gary Payton was one of Michael Jordan’s fiercest rivals in his later days with the Bulls and they would meet to settle the score in the 1996 NBA Finals where Jordan bested Payton’s Sonics for his fourth NBA Title. Despite the rivalry, Payton was also a Team Jordan athlete and among the PEs he wore were the Air Jordan XIX SE ‘Boston Celtics Away’. This colorway also released at the retail level but unlike those being sold in stores, the Glove’s initials and number are embroidered on the back in green. Payton wore these during his only season with the Boston Celtics in which he averaged 11.3 PPG and 6.1 APG.
