Jordan Brand’s release schedule has been very heavy with gold colorways this year. Air Jordan 11 Low “Metallic Gold” just released on Saturday as one of the better examples of this seasonal trend. But this isn’t the brand’s first run with the color. In 2006, they released the Defining Moments Pack, an ode to Michael Jordan’s first titles from each of his championship three-peats. Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 11 both included refined gold accenting to match the Larry O’Brien trophy. Nearly everybody wanted the pack for the 11 – understandably – but the 6 had its own fan base that continues today. You can still find select new pairs of the pack popping up at Stadium Goods.
