Michael Jordan’s early career heroics included plenty of gravity-defying dunks and buzzer-beaters, but never before had he switched hands in mid-air like he did in the 1991 NBA Finals. Fresh off a narrow loss in game one, the Bulls came out firing in game two. Chicago coach Phil Jackson assigned Scottie Pippen to guard Magic Johnson, harassing the Lakers legend into a 4 for 13 shooting performance and a mere 14 points. With everything rolling the Bulls’ way, it happened. With seven minutes left in the fourth, Michael Jordan drove the lane, leaped for a one-handed dunk, rotated the ball over to his left hand with Lakers forward Sam Perkins looming, and finished the layup. MJ finished with 33 points, seven rebounds, 13 assists, two steals and one block – including a blistering 15 of 18 from the field. The Bulls evened the series with a 107-86 win, then headed to Los Angeles to wrap their first NBA title. Watch the moment below.
