#MJMondays: Michael Jordan Hits “The Shot” Part II In Cleveland

Michael Jordan knocked the Cleveland Cavaliers out of the playoffs with The Shot in 1989. Then, he hung a career-high 69 points on them in 1990. Was that enough torture? Nah. MJ had one more for northeast Ohio in 1993. In game four of their second round series, the Bulls and Cavs were neck-and-neck, tied at 101 and Chicago with the final possession. You know who got the ball. Jordan finished with 31 points and the Bulls completed the sweep. The Cavaliers’ stars either retired or migrated to other teams, leaving the franchise to fade away for the next decade until drafting LeBron James number one in 2003.
