Surely the Jordan faithful were thrilled in February with word that Air Jordan 11 Space Jam’s return has been penciled for a Christmas 2016 release. Yet, believe it or not, the news is actually more exciting than that. Jordan Brand is bringing it back true to the version Michael Jordan wore during home games against the Orlando Magic in the 1995 NBA Playoffs – the true original Space Jams.
In brass tacks, that means Concord purple accenting instead of the Varsity Royal blue that released on the 2000 and 2009 versions. And, perhaps most importantly, the shoe will feature MJ’s 45 player exclusive stitching on each heel. Throw those details in the mix with Jordan Brand’s remaster process and you’ve got one of the biggest retro releases in forever. Thoughts? Post ’em below and stay tuned for more photos/details as they happen.
