Michael Jordan had been wearing Air Jordan 12 Black/Varsity Red for road games throughout the 1997 NBA Playoffs. But it was Game 5 of the NBA Finals that year that helped turn this standard Chicago Bulls colorway into legend. MJ’s “Flu Game” – thought by Jordan to be food poisoning from a pizza joint near the team’s hotel in Utah – produced 38 points and a series-deciding 3-2 lead for the Bulls. The starkly colored black and red kicks always stood out, but this game sealed the deal. They’re back in just about one week at Jordan Brand retailers everywhere. Catch the official Nike photos below and let us know if you’ll be picking these up.
