OG fans will remember Air Jordan 5 “Black/Metallic Silver” from its original release in 1990, watching Michael Jordan wear the sleek colorway to battle the Detroit Pistons almost singlehandedly in the NBA Playoffs. Younger fans might remember the shoe from its more recent retro releases, starting in 2000 and reappearing in 2007 and in 2011. Wherever you’re at on the age scale, this sneaker is surely somewhere on your all-time classics list. And it’s coming back July 23rd remastered to OG specifications, complete with Nike Air branding. But it won’t have the 23 stitching, a player exclusive detail featured on the last two retro releases. You can still pick those up now at stores like Stadium Goods.
