Even though MJ wore it in the 1996 NBA Playoffs, Air Jordan 11 Low IE “Bred” stands as one of the least celebrated sneakers in the Jordan lineup. Probably a good reason for that – save for the sole, the shoe doesn’t look like its patent leather counterparts at all. Funky triangle-shaped mesh vents further that visual disconnect. Still, it’s a shoe that has gained some more of the spotlight recently. Last fall, Tinker Hatfield finally revealed his IE design origins, unlocking the background on this somewhat misunderstood sneaker as a lighter summertime option. The “Bred” colorway retroed in 2003 and in 2011, but neither in OG form like the 1996s you see here. No wait – you can find OG pairs now on eBay.
